Why Is This Medication So Important

Worldwide statistics show that:

• Over 60 million people are infected with HIV / AIDS

• In Africa alone

• In 2005, nearly 5 million people contracted HIV

• 15 million children around the world have been orphaned by AIDS, loosing one or both parents to the disease

While condom use is always recommended as the first line of prevention of HIV/AIDS transfer, unfortunately they are not used as consistently as they should be.
